Nothing but pure respect and kudos to Nancy Grace and her ability to keep us informed. However, I cannot help but get outraged at the part society plays in handling such atrocities.
The Zahara Baker Search is still underway and here is what we know, A 10-year-old girl from North Carolina appears to be missing at 2:30 in the morning, and the only lead we have is her prosthetic leg that was located in a brushy area. By the 13th of October the stepmother had been arrested for larceny and writing bad checks, not to mention the confessing of writing a ransom note for a million dollars. The father of the missing girl is also under eight charges five of which are for submitting worthless checks, guess we now know what they had in common! All of a sudden, neighbors and friends emerge with reports that she had a terrible home life, using words like "abusive" and "miserable" and insinuating that child protective services were involved. Why is this just now coming to light and why were there not any actions taken? Now that it has been determined to be a homicide investigation let's light a fire and see some results. There is an old saying that "If you will lie to me you will steal from me (and visa versa)." Well their talent for stealing is self-evident in their proclivity for writing bad checks. Now, Elisa Baker sits in jail and has the audacity to speak of how she missed Zahara and blames her husband for what has happened describing him as a "pagan".
